Monongah Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire on Locust Avenue
Monongah, West Virginia – At approximately 02:53 a.m. on August 19, 2025, the Monongah Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located at 1900 block of Locust Avenue.

One transported in Auto Pedestrian accident

Today, Monongah Fire was alerted for an auto vs. pedestrian accident in the 1500 block of Locust Ave. Units arrived on scene and assisted with patient care and packaging along with traffic control. One patient was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital by Marion County Rescue Squad. Crews remained on scene until the roadway could be safely opened to traffic.... (Full Story & Photos)

Vehicle fire total loss

On Thursday, June 19th, Monongah Fire Department was alerted as a mutual aid company to assist Farmington Fire Department with a vehicle fire with exposures. Members were in station upon receipt of the call and responded within minutes to assist. Farmington Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to find a Ford pickup truck fully involved with fire. First Due Fire Contained

On June 17th, at 16:53 hrs. Monongah Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire in the 1500 block of Country Club Road. Crews arrived on scene to find a small fire that was contained to the kitchen area and affected the dishwasher and immediate areas.
